Problem 01: Damaged top adjustment nut

As you can see based on the pictures, the quality issues are mainly damage to the plastic components and breakage of the metal center shaft. When ultra-fine grinding is required, you need to tighten the nut to its tightest state, but over-tightening can cause the nut and the metal bearing to be subjected to excessive force, resulting in damage to the member. Of course some manufacturers will use thinner plastic and finer metal shafts, which will cause the pepper grinder to not do a good job of fine grinding. Prolonged use can also lead to this problem, as you can see in the picture many grinders show signs of prolonged use.

Problem 02: Damaged top plastic ring

The main purpose of this black plastic ring is to hold the outer ring of the ceramic rotor in place. As you can see from the picture, some salt and pepper grinders have not been in use for a long time before the plastic ring comes off from the salt grinder, because this quality problem occurs earlier, so it is taken more seriously.

There are three reasons for this: 1. Fragile plastic rings, but after comparison you will find that the size of the plastic rings used by different manufacturers is almost the same, but the different components make the same size of the plastic rings have different strengths, and the fragile plastic components are more likely to be deformed during the grinding process.

2. Insufficiently precise molds produce insufficiently precise parts, which will lead to the connection between the plastic ring and surrounding components Not tight enough, which will fall off during the use of the grinder.

3. Not good enough workers, most of the parts of the plastic pepper grinder lid need to be installed manually, it is obvious that not responsible enough work will lead to quality problems. And this kind of unqualified pepper grinder is hard to be detected by appearance, which causes part of the unqualified products to flow out.

3.Problem 03: Damage to plastic parts at the bottom of metal shafts

The plastic fixture at the bottom of the metal shaft is subjected to a lot of torque during the grinding process, so usually the plastic parts at this location are very thick. However, according to our understanding, the most complaints about this salt and pepper grinder come from this part.

In order to ensure that the spices flow smoothly from the glass bottle into the grinder, manufacturers can't continue to thicken the plastic fixings, so a stronger plastic material is a better choice.

The quality of the plastic material directly determines whether or not the pepper mill will have such problems! Yes, ABS, PP, PC, these are all common plastics used in this pepper mill, and even if they are also made of ABS, the final properties of the plastic will vary depending on the additives. Expensive products are not necessarily good, but extremely cheap products are definitely bad.

Of course, locking the ceramic rotor by adjusting the nut and then grinding vigorously can cause damage to the bottom plastic parts.

4.Problem 04: Glass spice bottle breakage

The vast majority of glass spice bottle breakage is damaged during transportation, which is an unsolvable problem because neither manufacturers nor merchants can guarantee 100% transportation safety of glass bottles.

But apart from breakage caused by transportation, glass bottle breakage is also related to the quality of the glass.
